Job search
The process begins by searching the list of available positions on our website and choosing the position(s) for which you are most interested and qualified. Once you apply for a job, your qualifications and experience will be reviewed to determine if you are a fit.
Phone interview
If you are a possible match for the position, you will be contacted to arrange a short phone interview. The phone interview assesses your technical skills and proficiency, to the level of determining whether you should be brought in for in-person interviews. Now’s the time to ask questions about our hiring process and what it's like to work at Large Animal Games. Typically phone interviews are conducted by someone in a similar role and last about 30-40 minutes.
Onsite interview
Onsite interviews are conducted by pairs of Large Animals from a variety of disciplines. We’re evaluating your experience within your given speciality as well as your ability to discuss that specialization with people who might not share your experience and vocabulary. Interviewers will ask you behavioral questions related to your area of interest and how you have dealt with real-world situations. In most cases there is no right or wrong answer, we just want to learn how you solve problems, deal with conflict and push the envelope of excellence.
You can expect to speak with at least two pairs of current employees. It takes a little time but we think the process is worth it. We count on our uber-talented team members to help us evaluate and hire equally talented candidates. A nice sampling of our employees get to meet you and express their opinion and YOU get exposure to enough people to evaluate the company culture. It’s a win win.
What happens next
Following your interviews, we will decide if you are suitable for the job opening. We take hiring very seriously and like to make consensus-based decisions. To that end, it can take up to two weeks for us to make a definitive decision as to whether we'd like to have you join the team. Please be patient with us – your recruiter will keep in touch with you when feedback has been received and decisions made. Also feel free to get in touch with your recruiter at any time.
Preparing your CV/resume
We were going to write something about the presentation of a professional resume but then decided we want people who know how to format and spell-check their own resume.
